My Story
After building a career as a stock broker and later a public relations executive, I happily retired when my husband, Mike, and I married. With “advanced maternal age” stamped prominently on my medical records, we set out to get busy and start our family. I’m a Type A, control freak planner, and things didn’t go exactly as I planned. But that’s the crazy part about plans; sometimes life turns out more perfectly than you could’ve ever dreamed. Finally, I was a mommy.
They say: The days are long, but the years are short. Nobody believes that when you are walking the floor with a sick baby or arguing with a teenager. How many times did I wonder, “When will this end?” And then just like that it did. Both my children left for college.
Now, I am a newly-minted empty-nester with time on my hands and wanderlust in my heart. I am excited to explore and document this new life stage both at home and on the road.
Thanks for reading my little blog. I’m really excited to spend some time with you.
